3 scientific facts any kid (and even some parents) will enjoy learning

Bug

Sometimes learning about science can feel a lot like homework. But it doesn’t have to be boring especially when you follow the adventures of CURiBOT, a super inquisitive robot, Alberta the cat and the Professor. This dynamic trio uncovers so many fun and interesting facts as they zoom back in time, through the insect world and solar system, it doesn’t feel like learning at all.

Check out these 3 cool facts. They’ll get you thinking and wanting to know more.

  1. Insects rule the world. While there are 7 billion people on the planet, there are 10 quintillion insects! That’s the number “10” followed by 18 zeroes. In other words, a ginormous amount of creepy crawlers.
  1. A year on the planet Venus is actually shorter than a day on Venus. Huh? How is this possible? It takes 225 Earth days for Venus to complete an orbit around the sun and 243 Earth days to spin around itself. In comparison, it takes Earth 365 days to orbit the sun and 24 hours to complete a rotation.
  2. Ancient Egyptians wore “alien” jewelry. Not exactly jewelry from space creatures, but jewelry made from meteorites. Egyptians wore lots of jewelry to make themselves attractive to their gods. They valued rare metals over stones like diamonds. What could be rarer than a meteorite from space?
